On Tuesday night, Birmingham City take part in a double-headed fixture which sees Gary Rowett split the squad in half, spending one team to Walsall and the other to Shrewsbury Town.

In my earlier article that was published this morning, I predicted the side that the Blues manager would be sending to face League One side Walsall, so now I am going to discuss the side I think he will be sending to Shrewsbury.

The Shrews, also in third tier of English football, are sure to give Blues a tougher game than Solihull Moors and Forest Green Rovers did, but I do expect Blues to breeze past them, and if we can score another three goals then that would be fantastic.

I think Rowett will play a similar system to the one I have predicted him to play against Walsall which is his tried and tested 4-2-3-1 so here is the side I predicted he will play against Town….

GK: Legzdins
RB: Caddis
CB: Spector
CB: Robinson
LB: Tiendalli
CDM: Kieftenbeld
CDM: Tesche
RAM: Arthur
CAM: Shinnie
LAM: Donaldson
ST: Storer

As you can see, I have opted to leave Nicolai Brock-Madsen out of the team because I think the gaffer will look to try and get Jack Storer, the scorer of the second goal on Saturday afternoon’s 3-0 win against Forest Green, some more game time.

Because I have put Storer up front, that means I have moved Clayton Donaldson out to the left, a position I fear we may see him play more next season should be find ourselves a new striker.

Blues fans, what do you think of the team that has been predicted to face Shrewsbury Town? Do you think it has enough in it to beat the League One side? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
