Birmingham City head to Rotherham United this weekend in search of three points that will keep them in touching distance of the play-offs.

The team will be backed by an outstanding away following once again with 2,600 bluenoses set to take to the road to support the boys in royal blue.

For me, the game against the Millers is the perfect game for us to bounce back into form following last weekends deflating home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday and I am sure Gary Rowett will feel the same way.

Rowett, who has been linked with the vacant role at Derby County this week, has said that the play-off race could go right down to the wire and I think games against teams like Rotherham and Bolton, who are the next opponents after Saturday, are must win games for us.

I personally can’t see Rowett changing much from last weekend’s side because besides that lapse in concentration for two minutes, Blues were by far the better team.

Down below is the side that I would field against the managerless Millers on Saturday as well as the substitutes.

GK: Kuszczak.
RB: Caddis.
CB: Morrison.
CB: Robinson.
LB: Grounds.
CM: Davis.
CM: Kieftenbeld.
CM: Gleeson.
RW: Toral.
ST: Donaldson.
LW: Maghoma.

Substitutes: Legzdins, Shotton, Spector, Buckley, Fabbrini, Solomon-Otabor, Vaughan.

As you can see I have changed the formation slightly as I have gone back to the three in midfield, rather than the two holding midfielders and one advanced play-maker in the no.10 role.

Personally I feel that David Davis is an unsung hero in the team and he is quite a driving force for us.

By putting him back in the team it means that when one of the three midfielders pushes forward, like Davis or Maikel Kieftenbeld, then there will always be two covering that run rather than just one.

Because I have put Davis in, it means that Will Buckley will drop back down to the bench for this first time since Derby away, but he is a good super sub to have.

Blues fans, what do you think of this weeks predicted line up? Do you agree with the changes that have been made? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
