On Saturday afternoon, Birmingham City will return to St.Andrews for the first time since that entertaining 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship as they prepare to face Roda JC.

Wednesday night saw Gary Rowett’s side put in a feisty performance away at Port Vale and it is expected that the manager will once again make a number of changes to the side.

The likelihood of David Cotterill getting anything more than 45 minutes once again is probably not very high, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was involved at some stage during the game as Rowett will want to get him as many minutes as possible.

I expect to see the likes of Reece Brown, Jack Storer and Josh Cogley get on the pitch once again, and 18-year-old Storer may even get a start given the form he has been in so far during this preseason.

The former Stevenage striker has found the back of the net five times in his last five games, including two for the first team, and with Rowett hinting that if he keeps scoring goals then the Bluenose will only plant himself further into the first team plans.

Down below is the side that I think Rowett will play against Roda when they visit B9 at the weekend…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Cogley
CB: Morrison
CB: Spector
LB: Grounds
CDM: Brown
CDM: Tesche
RAM: Solomon-Otabor
CAM: Fabbrini
LAM: Maghoma
ST: Donaldson

As you can see, I have included both Brown and Cogley in the starting XI because I think Rowett will opt to play Jonathan Spector at centre back rather than at right back, with Paul Caddis likely to drop back to the bench following his 60 minutes at Vale Park earlier in the week.

I have also predicted that Rowett will restore Tomasz Kuszczak, Michael Morrison, Viv Solomon-Otabor, Diego Fabbrini, Jacques Maghoma and Clayton Donaldson to the starting XI.

Blues fans, what do you think of this weeks predictions? Would you start Jack Storer ahead of Clayton Donaldson? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
