On Tuesday night, Birmingham City will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to six games when Preston North End visit St.Andrews.

The Lilywhites fixture is the first of two home games in the space of a week as Blackburn Rovers head to B9 on Saturday October first for the last game before the second international break of the season.

However, with the focus firmly on the North End game, Blues will be hoping to pick up maximum points at home for the third game in a row for the first time since January 23rd 2016, when we won four home games on the bounce in the league against Cardiff City, MK Dons, Brentford and Ipswich Town.

On Saturday afternoon, Blues picked up their 11th point in four games as they squeezed out a 1-1 draw against out of form Queens Park Rangers and with many of the players believed to be disappointed with just a point, they will certainly be looking to put it right on Tuesday night.

Down below is my starting line up prediction based on the players I know who are available…

GK: Legzdins
RB: Spector
CB: Morrison
CB: Shotton
LB: Wiggins
CM: Gleeson
CM: Davis
CM: Kieftenbeld
RW: Adams
ST: Jutkiewicz
LW: Stewart

Substitutes: Trueman, Robinson, Grounds, Maghoma, Brown, Cotterill, Donaldson.

As you can see, I have made two changes to the side that picked up a point at the weekend with Greg Stewart and Rhoys Wiggins both being handed their first starts in a Birmingham City shirt.

Some may say that it is very harsh on both Jonathan Grounds and Jacques Maghoma that I have predicted them both to get dropped to the bench but with another game coming on Saturday, I have a feeling Gary Rowett may look to change things up a little bit.

It is well known that Stewart and Wiggins, the latter especially, are both chomping at the bit to get minutes under their belts and I think the game on Tuesday night could be their opportunity.

Blues fans, do you agree that Gary Rowett will make changes to the side that picked up a well earned point at the weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
