Birmingham City travel to the north east this weekend as they prepare to take on top of the table side Newcastle United.

The Magpies are currently flying high at the top of the Championship but Gary Rowett’s side are well known for taking points away from the so called bigger teams in the division, as was shown last season when we took points off Burnley, Middlesbrough and Derby County.

Rowett will have a selection headache ahead of the game on Saturday afternoon with linchpin midfielder David Davis suspended after he was shown a red card last weekend in the heavy defeat to Barnsley at St.Andrew’s.

However, with Stephen Gleeson now back to full fitness, it is likely that he will return to the side alongside either Maikel Kieftenbeld or Robert Tesche or even both of them.

Down below is the side that I think Rowett will name for the game on Saturday along with the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Dacres-Cogley
CB: Shotton
CB: Morrison
LB: Grounds
CM: Tesche
CM: Gleeson
CM: Kieftenbeld
RW: Cotterill
ST: Jutkiewicz
LW: Adams

Substitutes: Legzdins, Robinson, Stewart, Brown, Donaldson, Fabbrini, Storer.

Blues fans, what do you make of the side that has been predicted? Let us know in the comment section down below!
