Birmingham City are back in action on Wednesday night as they head up north once again to take on Newcastle United in the FA Cup third round replay.

In the reverse fixture, Gianfranco Zola’s men came very close to winning the original tie but recent signing Lukas Jutkiewicz was unable to put away one of the two headed chances he had in the final five minutes. The game ended 1-1 and left Blues still without a win under Zola.

Now Blues are preparing to take on the Magpies at St.James’ Park on Wednesday night and Zola will be praying that his side can pick up a win which would ease a few fears that are creeping into a few fans’ minds.

Zola is likely to name a strong team for the game against Rafa Benitezs’ men. The winner of the game will progress into the fourth round with Oxford United waiting in the wings for the victor.

Down below is the side that I believe Zola will name along with the seven substitutes…

GK: Legzdins
RB: Dacres-Cogley
CB: Shotton
CB: Robinson
LB: Grounds
CM: Davis
CM: Gardner
CM: Tesche
RW: Cotterill
ST: Jutkiewicz
LW: Adams

Substitutes: Kuszczak, Morrison, Spector, Kieftenbeld, Gleeson, Brown, Solomon-Otabor.

Blues fans, would you start Craig Gardner and Robert Tesche in midfield alongside David Davis? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
