Opinion: Predicted line up Vs. Middlesbrough

On Friday night, Birmingham City will once again be playing in front of the Sky Sports cameras in what is their final home game of the season against a very tough Middlesbrough team.

Boro, who have once again been fantastic this season, could go back to the top of the table with either a win or a draw, and with Blues’ season tailing off after some poor results in April, could there be an upset on the cards?

Gary Rowett’s side have only won one game in the last seven and even though their home form hasn’t been terrific since the turn of the year, Aitor Karanka’s side need to be wary of what Blues can bring to the table, especially if they come out of the blocks quickly.

When Hull City visited St.Andrews back in March, a game which was also played in front of the Sky cameras, Blues played what I thought was the best 45 minutes of football I have seen all season at home in the first half and they were deserved winners of the game and if we can attack Middlesbrough with that sort of attitude then I think we could have a massive say in who goes up into the Premier League as champions.

Down below is the side that I would send out to play Boro in the penultimate game of the season, along with the substitutes bench…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Caddis
CB: Shotton
CB: Morrison
LB: Grounds
CDM: Davis
CDM: Gleeson
RAM: Cotterill
CAM: Fabbrini
LAM: Maghoma
ST: Donaldson

Substitutes: Legzdins, Robinson, Kieftenbeld, Buckley, Solomon-Otabor, Vaughan, Lafferty.

As you can see, I have made one change to the side that drew with Huddersfield Town on Saturday. I have brought Jacques Maghoma back into the team in place of Kyle Lafferty.

Maghoma is somebody who I think can cause any team problems when he is at his best and I think Lafferty will work better off the bench for us.

Blues fans, do you agree with the side that has been predicted? Would you put Clayton Donaldson back up front instead of Kyle Lafferty? Let us know in the comment section down below!
