Birmingham City head into Saturday’s game off the back of a fantastic away performance at Derby County and Gary Rowett will be hoping that form can continue to grow.

Three goals from unlikely sources gave Blues a comfortable win last weekend and the visit of Ipswich couldn’t have come at a better time for Rowett’s men.

The former Burton Albion boss always states that he prefers to play the sides in and around his own side because they play better against them and I think this could work again on Saturday.

Personally, I don’t think that the Blues boss will change much because why change something when it isn’t broken?

Although I think it will be a tough game for both sides, I am hopeful that Blues can put in another top performance and I am also hopeful that the players can entertain the St.Andrews faithful.

Below is the side that I would send out to face the Tractor boys if I was in charge for the game, along with the substitutes.

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Caddis
CB: Morrison
CB: Robinson
LB: Grounds
CDM: Kieftenbeld
CDM: Gleeson
RAM: Buckley
CAM: Toral
LAM: Maghoma
ST: Donaldson

Substitutes: Legzdins, Spector, Lowry, Davis, Shinnie, Solomon-Otabor, Vaughan.

As you can see I have made two changes to the side that won away at the iPro last weekend.

One of the changes I have made is to the formation. By dropping David Davis back down to the bench I have opted to go back to our normal 4-2-3-1 formation because I think that will work better at home compared to the 4-3-3.

Rowett switched to that formation last weekend after he saw that playing Jon Toral out on the wing wasn’t working and I think he will stick with the formation that won him the match.

Also, by dropping Davis back to the bench I have decided to give Will Buckley his full debut for the club and where better to do it than at St.Andrews.

Blues fans, do you agree with the line up that has been predicted for this weekends game? Let us know what your XI would be down in the comment section below!
