I can hear the cheers because guess what guys…the football is back! WAHEY!

Don’t you just hate international breaks! They’re the worst but enough about them, lets get back to talking about the mighty Birmingham City who are back in action this weekend against high flying Fulham.

The Cottagers, now managed by former Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic, are currently 2nd in the table with 11 points, picking up three wins and two draws from their opening five games, but could the break have stalled their progression in the league?

Blues will certainly hope so as they look to continue from where they left off following a superb performance against Championship big boys Norwich City.

Rowett’s men currently have eight points from their opening five games, losing just one game, which when you think about it isn’t actually that bad because if that sort of form continued, we would only lose around eight or nine games in a season which I would see as a respectable figure.

However, that being said, Blues will most likely make changes with in form pair Jacques Maghoma and Clayton Donaldson both clocking up considerable miles during the break so they may well be rested by Rowett.

Down below is the side that I think could start against Fulham as well as the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Spector
CB; Morrison
CB: Shotton
LB: Grounds
CM: Tesche
CM: Kieftenbeld
CM: Davis
RW: Adams
ST: Jutkiewicz
LW: Stewart

Substitutes: Legzdins, Wiggins, Gleeson, Fabbrini, Maghoma, Cotterill, Donaldson.

As you can see, I have made two changes to the side that thrashed the Canaries 3-0 at St.Andrews two weeks ago with Greg Stewart replacing Maghoma on the left and new boy Lukas Jutkiewicz taking the place of Donaldson.

I just think the fresh legs may pay off for Blues in what is likely to be a tougher encounter than last years fixture which still lives on in many Blues fans minds.

Blues fans, do you agree with the starting XI? Do Jacques Maghoma and Clayton Donaldson need the rest after being away on international duty? Let us know in the comment section down below!
