Birmingham City head into Friday’s game against play-off rivals Cardiff City on the back of two impressive away performances.

Despite only picking up a point in each of the games (Middlesbrough and Preston North End), Blues boss Gary Rowett highlighted just how impressed he was with the second half performances in each game.

However, the former Burton Albion manager also emphasised how important he feels the fans will be when it comes to picking up a result against the Bluebirds.

Blues haven’t won at home since the middle of October and the first home appearance of new loan signing James Vaughan could lift the home fans.

Personally, I can’t see there being many changes to the team, with things looking like they are starting to settle down again.

Below is the side that I would send out on Friday as well as the substitutes.

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Eardley
CB: Morrison
CB: Spector
LB: Grounds
CDM: Gleeson
CDM: Kieftenbeld
RAM: Gray
CAM: Toral
LAM: Gray
ST: Vaughan

Substitutes: Legzdins, Caddis, Davis, Solomon-Otabor, Shinnie, Brock-Madsen, Halford.

As you can see, I have made one change to the starting XI that played on Tuesday night against Preston and that is Andy Shinnie is returning to the bench and Jon Toral has rejoined the first team.

Toral came on at half time against the Lilywhites and really affected the second half and I think starting him is vital if Blues are to win this game.

Blues fans, what do you make of the predicted line up? Do you agree with the one change that has been made? What would your starting XI be? Let us know in the comment section down below!
