After a below average performance on Tuesday night against bottom of the league Rotherham United, Birmingham City will be looking to improve their standard when they take on Burton Albion on Friday evening.

Despite winning the game 4-2, with Michael Morrison, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Jacques Maghoma and David Cotterill all getting on the scoresheet, the overall standard of performance was less than what is now expected of Blues but manager Gary Rowett is hoping that his side can put it right when they visit his old stomping ground tomorrow night.

At his press conference today, the former Brewers boss hinted that he may look at changing his squad around with this game being their third in a week.

The Blues manager will have it in the back of his mind that should Dutch midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld pick up a yellow card, he would be out for the Aston Villa game so I have a feeling he may be one of the ‘possible two or three changes’ that Rowett hinted at.

Down below is the side that I think will start the game as well as the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Spector
CB: Shotton
CB: Morrison
LB: Grounds
CDM: Davis
CDM: Gleeson
RAM: Stewart
CAM: Adams
LAM: Maghoma
ST: Jutkiewicz

Substitutes: Legzdins, Robinson, Wiggins, Kieftenbeld, Brown, Cotterill, Donaldson.

As harsh as it is to drop Adam Legzdins, David Cotterill, Clayton Donaldson and the previously mentioned Kieftenbeld, I think Rowett may look to make as many as four changes to the side that won on Tuesday night.

I have replaced Legzdins with Tomasz Kuszczak, Kieftenbeld with David Davis, who returns following a one-match ban, Cotterill with Greg Stewart and Donaldson with Che Adams, who slips into that number 10 role.

As you can see, there is no place in the squad for Deigo Fabbrini which again may seem a little harsh and unjustified but due to the strength of our squad at the moment, I have a feeling Rowett may leave him out.

Blues fans, what do you make of the team that has been predicted? Would you make four changes to the side that won on Tuesday? Let us know in the comment section down below!
