Birmingham City entertain Brentford this weekend with the home side looking to make it three wins on the bounce at home for the first time this season.

The two sides have already met once this term with Blues running out comfortable 2-0 winners, with goals coming from Clayton Donaldson and Michael Morrison.

When the two teams last met, Blues were without a win in four league games and the Bees were really struggling.

The victory for Gary Rowett’s men meant that they moved back into the top six, but the defeat left Lee Carsley’s side languishing in 19th.

However, since then Brentford have turned themselves around and they now sit one spot above Blues in eighth and they have a better goal difference of +3 compared to Blues’ which is +2.

Following a strong performance against MK Dons, I don’t really want to change much and you will see that from my team selection down below.

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Caddis
CB: Morrison
CB: Robinson
LB: Grounds
CDM: Kieftenbeld
CDM: Gleeson
RAM: Maghoma
CAM: Toral
LAM: Solomon-Otabor
ST: Donaldson

Substitutes: Legzdins, Spector, Davis, Shinnie, Vaughan, Gray, Brock-Madsen.

As you can see, I have opted to keep the same XI that took to the field against the Dons on Monday.

The side produced one of the best home performances in front of 19,700+ fans and that is something which I think will happen again.

Young Viv Solomon-Otabor may have been nervous at the start of the game but he sure grew into it and I think Rowett may start him again ahead of Demarai Gray, who’s performances haven’t really warranted all of the hype so far this season.

Blues fans, do you agree that we should keep the same XI that produced a 1-0 win over MK Dons? Would you change anything? Let us know in the comment section down below!
