Opinion: Predicted line up Vs. Blackburn Rovers

A second home game in three days will offer some relief to Gary Rowett and his side as they look to get back to winning ways following two successive defeats.

Mark Sale, who is part of Rowett’s back room staff, confirmed that the club are waiting on fitness tests for a few of the players who picked up knocks against local rivals Wolves.

This means that there are likely to be changes made to the side that faces Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night. I also think there may be a change in formation with several key players expected to miss out.

Midfield duo David Davis and Maikel Kieftenbeld are both major doubts heading into the game and with the pair likely to miss out, I think we could see Jon Toral recalled to the starting line up.

A surprise inclusion might be Reece Brown, but the likelihood of that happening is a very very long way off.

The inclusion of Nicolai Brock-Madsen from the beginning is something that many Blues fans on social media sites have been calling for, but personally I can’t see it happening.

Following his mistake at the weekend against Wolves, I think Paul Robinson may drop back to the bench with Jonathan Spector coming in to fill his boots, although he may be pushed up into a defensive midfield role.

Below is the team that I would send out for the fixture against Rovers on Tuesday night, along with the substitutes.

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Caddis
CB: Robinson
CB: Morrison
LB: Grounds
CDM: Gleeson
CDM: Spector
RAM: Cotterill
CAM: Toral
LAM: Gray
ST: Donaldson

Subs: Legzdins, Lowry, Brown, Shinnie, Solomon-Otabor, Brock-Madsen, Maghoma.

As you can seen, I have made three changes to the side that lost 2-0 at the weekend. I have opted to bring in Spector for Kieftenbeld, Cotterill in for Maghoma and Toral in for Davis.

Blues fans, what do you make of my predictions? Do you think I am right to ring the changes? What would your starting XI be? Let us know in the comment section down below!
