What a week it has been at Birmingham City for all those involved!

Following Monday afternoons defeat to Burton Albion, Gianfranco Zola resigned from his post as Blues manager and the board of Trillion Trophy Asia didn’t hang around in appointing a new boss.

On Tuesday afternoon, Blues announced that Harry Redknapp had taken over as manager of the club until the end of the season on a short term basis and the former Tottenham Hotspur manager later confirmed he would like to stay beyond the end of the season should he keep the club in the Sky Bet Championship.

His first game in charge of Blues is a daunting trip to local rivals Aston Villa and by the time the match comes around, Redknapp will have been in manager of the club for just under a week which means he will have a fairly good idea of which players he thinks can handle the pressure on Sunday.

The game against Villa is one that everyone in the city is looking forward to and with it being Redknapp’s first game, there is now that extra bit of spice added into it because the anxiousness of the Blues fans has now been turned into excitement as there is more unpredictability about the fixture.

The 70-year-old is likely to want to change things around for the game against our neighbours so it is going to be difficult for me to predict who he is going to start but down below is who I think will be in the starting line up along with the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Nsue
CB: Shotton
CB: Bielik
LB: Grounds
CDM: Kieftenbeld
CDM: Davis
RM: Adams
LM: Maghoma
CAM: Frei
ST: Jutkiewicz

Substitutes: Legzdins, Robinson, Keita, Gleeson, Gardner, Stewart, Sinclair.

As you can see I have changed the formation back to something which we might have seen under Gary Rowett with Maikel Kieftenbeld, Kerim Frei and Jacques Maghoma all returning to the starting line up.

Blues fans, do you think this is the sort of line up Harry Redknapp will choose for the game against Aston Villa? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
