Birmingham City lost their first game of the season on Tuesday in what was possibly their worst performance as of yet.

Understandably it had to come at some point and I am glad that it didn’t come a week later and I am sure many fans would agree with my thoughts.

Against a very well structured Forest side, Gary Rowett’s men just didn’t look in the game at all!

Former Blues man Chris Burke was one of the Reds stand out players for me in a game where Blues only had one shot on target!

Below are the ratings that I feel the players deserve after Tuesdays terrible performance as well as a little line on each of them.

Kuszczak 6- Didn’t really have much to deal with in the game and was helpless to the cross goal.

Caddis 3- For me, it was the worst I have ever seen him play. He was at fault for the goal and he never looked like he was in the game at all.

Morrison 5- Had a decent game but when Chris O’Grady came on, his game dropped dramatically.

Spector 4- Looked out of it like Caddis. His worst performance of the season for me.

Grounds 4- Another defender who just wasn’t at the races! Poor covering and Burke ran him ragged.

Kieftenbeld 7- My Man of the Match. He never gave up in the game! He chased every ball and got stuck into every tackle. He is the best signing we have made this season.

Gleeson 5- Looked tired and not match fit. Can see him getting a rest on Friday night against Ipswich.

Cotterill 5- Crosses were about the only good thing that he did in the game. He didn’t help Caddis out in defence at all!

Toral 3- For the first time this season, he struggled to create anything. The one chance he had he spooned into the Forest fans.

Maghoma 2- Worst player on the pitch. Had no attacking intent and gave the ball away with every pass.

Donaldson 6- Ran for the ball like he always does but he wasn’t helped by the poor deliveries. Missed a sitter of a header from six yards in the second half.

Subs: Brock-Madsen (4), Gray (3), Solomon-Otobar (3).
