Saturday saw Birmingham City lose at home for the fourth time already this season under Gary Rowett.

The Blues boss was clearly still happy with the performance despite the loss, but the form at St.Andrews is something that he is still wanting to address.

Our writer, Rob Wildey, was at the game and had several comments on the match, that Blues will feel they shouldn’t have lost.

Rob, who is a life long Blues fan, believes that Tomasz Kuszczak was the Man of the Match on the day, despite not keeping a clean sheet.

He also highlighted that had Reece Brown been brought into the game earlier than he was then things could have been differently for the home side.

The effort that the teenager had at the end of the game was very unlucky and on another day he could have rescued a point for Rowett’s men.

Other players that Rob has singled out as having good games are Jon Toral, Nicolai Brock-Madsen and Jacques Maghoma, who he believes had the best chance of the match when his effort rolled inches past the post.

Rob has written his full opinions about the players on the site already, so if you haven’t checked out the piece, follow the link and have a read!
