Blues and Burnley played out a very entertaining game at Turf Moor in the early kick off on Saturday (15th).

Gary Rowett’s men took the lead twice thanks to goals from Jon Toral and Paul Caddis but were pegged back by Michael Keane and Matt Taylor in the second half.

Throughout the game, Blues looked comfortable on the ball but in the end became too predictable with all the long balls up to Clayton Donaldson, who once again put in a fantastic shift for us.

Down below are how I feel the players, and the substitutes did during the 2-2 draw against the Clarets.

Kuszczak 6- Looked a little more comfortable in his box today but still room for improvement.

Caddis 7- Scored the penalty for the second goal and was very rarely troubled at the back.

Morrison 6- Didn’t look fully fit at some parts in the game. Struggled against a physical Burnley attack.

Spector 6- Like Morrison, struggled against a strong attacking line up but did the basics very well again.

Grounds 6- Felt Grounds had a good game going forward but defensively struggled. Room for improvement.

Kieftenbeld 7- Showed his class in the centre of midfield. Picked out passes well when he needed to and broke up play when required to as well.

Gleeson 8- My MOTM! Gleeson was once again outstanding alongside Kieftenbeld. Had a good effort on goal in the first half and bossed the midfield.

Cotterill 6- Unlucky not to score but gave away the free kick for the first goal which he will be disappointed with. Other than that, a quiet game for the Welshman.

Toral 7- Scored for the second game in a row and showed real quality going forward. Could prove to be a brilliant signing by Rowett.

Gray 5- Had yet another quiet game. Failed to show any flare going forward but defended really well when asked to. Certainly more to come from the 19 year old.

Donaldson 8- Yet another fantastic display by Clayton up front on his own! Could have been MOTM but I feel Gleeson just did that little bit more in the game.

Substitutes:

Davis 5- Didn’t really show anything when he came on.

Maghoma 5- A few good sprints but other than that, nothing that was really eye catching.

Robinson 5- Was brought on to sure things up and stabilise the midfield. Thought he did that well.

Blues fans, what rating would you give the players after yesterday’s performance? Do you agree with my opinions? If not, let us know why in the comment section down below!
