The signing of Tomasz Kuszczak in the summer was one that Blues supposedly worked on for weeks and weeks before it went over the line and now the hard work of Gary Rowett and his team seems to be paying off.

Following successive clean sheets away from home at Brentford and Leeds United respectively, the former Manchester United keeper is beginning to show why he was brought into the club.

Previous to the two games that have just passed us by, Kuszczak had only kept one other clean sheet, which was in another 2-0 away win at MK Dons at the end of August.

Having rested/dropped Jonathan Spector from the starting XI and brought veteran Paul Robinson back into the heart of the back four, defensive solidity seems to have come back to stabilise Blues’ performances.

During the past two games, Kuszczak had been outstanding for us and he has looked the most comfortable I have ever seen him in a Blues shirt.

Yes, I am still undecided as to whether he is fantastic with the ball at his feet but there is no denying that he is a brilliant shot stopped and has amazing reactions.

The save he made against Stuart Dallas on Saturday at Elland Road, joined with the quick reaction save he made against Derby County back in August and the saves he made to keep the score lower than 2-0 at home to Rotherham in September have prove that he really is a good signing for the club.

Like many, I still feel a little nervous when he has the ball in his possession but looking at how his confidence is building week in, week out, for me his performances will just continue to improve.

I know there is most likely going to be a clanger in there along the way but all keepers have them, some worse than others for example when Darren Randolph conceded eight at home.

However, the happier the big Polish shot stopper is in the Midlands, the less likely he is to drop one while in goal for us.

Looking at the keeper from a far, it is clear to see through the ‘access all areas’ videos that the club are putting out after each home game, how happy Tomasz is at the club.

I have to add that if he can continue to show this kind of form throughout the season then there is no reason why the players at the other end of the pitch can’t continue to propel us further up the table!

For me, I believe that Tomasz Kuszczak is already on the way to joining the long list of successful goal keepers than the club have had in the past six or seven years, including the likes of Joe Hart, Ben Foster and Jack Butland.

Blues fans, do you agree with my opinions on Kuszczak? What have you made of his performances so far this season? Let us know in the comment section down below!
