Luke Turner picks out one player who could have an impact on the derby clash…

Blues head to Molineux this Sunday hoping for three points that will keep them in play off contention as they face local rivals Wolves.

It is especially important to get the away form back on track and what better way to start than against Kenny Jackett`s side.

Each and every player will need to be up for the task but one player who I believe will be key to a solid performance is Maikel Kieftenbeld.

The Dutchman had a bit of an ‘off day` against Blackburn and was substituted at half time. But I think that he will be relishing the upcoming derby clash.

His tenacious style of play will undoubtably suit that of a local derby and he will be a pest to each and every Wolves player.

He might not be pinging 40-yard passes left right and centre but he will be all over the pitch, intercepting passes and then starting attacks.

They always say that whoever wins the first tackle is the one that is up for the fight and Kieftenbeld will surely go in with a few tough ones!

The only thing that may hold him back is the fact that another yellow card will give him a two-game suspension as he in currently on nine bookings.

But, given the occasion and what’s at stake, he shouldn’t be worrying about that and I fully expect him to be hugely influential in the game.

Of course, all eleven players on the pitch need to be up for that task and the determination of Kieftenbeld will certainly get them up for it!
