Luke Turner picks out a key man for tomorrow’s game…

Blues welcome Preston North End to St Andrews tomorrow evening looking to bounce back from Saturday`s defeat against Burnley.

It will be another tricky game for Gary Rowett`s side who know that a fourth straight home defeat means that their opponents will leap above them in the league table.

Our season is in serious danger of ending on a disappointing note with just one win in our last eight games so we need our key men to step up.

I think that Jacques Maghoma could be key in getting us back on track following his return to the starting line up the other day. He produced a very productive display as he scored the equaliser and performed well throughout.

Prior to his return on Saturday, he has been left out of the starting eleven in recent weeks and hasn’t been at his best with fatigue perhaps being the reason for that.

But, he looked to be back to his old self against Burnley and, along with David Cotterill, provided us with plenty of quality down the wings.

His pace, power and skill can cause problems to any defence in the Championship and that will be no different against Preston tomorrow.

They have a very good defensive record but I think that Jacques could be the man to torment and look to attack their rearguard.

We had missed having an out and out winger recently with Rowett opting for three in midfield so the return of Maghoma gives us another attacking option and his inclusion only benefits us.

Let’s just hope that he can once again produce the goods and lead us on our way to a much needed victory!
