Opinion: It feels like the Zola era all over again!

After another disappointing result this afternoon against Fulham at Craven Cottage, now is the time for Birmingham City to part ways with Steve Cotterill.

This is simply an opinion of mine and I know it may seem a little bit harsh but in the 10 games that he has now been in charge, Blues have failed to score a second half goal and performances have continued to drop.

On loan Chelsea man Jeremie Boga could have ended that hoo-doo today but he went onto blaze a penalty over the bar!

Blues looked good for spells of the game but I can only make comparisons between Cotterill and Gianfranco Zola.

The owners waited around far too long before sacking and if they want to take this club forward, they now need to relieve the former Bristol City manager of his duties before it is too late!

Blues are heading one way and one way only….down to league one!!

We simply don’t have the creativity or firepower in the squad and as much as I want Blues to spend money in January, I wouldn’t be trusting Cotterill with that money!

With strong words being had on the training ground this week following the loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday evening, it all just points in the same direction as the Zola era.

I’m an optimistic Blues fan at the best of times and I was one of a few to give Zola more time than he deserved but I won’t make that same mistake twice.

Do the right thing Steve, please! Do it for the fans! We deserve better than this and you know it!
