Birmingham City will look to return to winning ways on Saturday following only their third league defeat in the last 13 games.

That sort of record has many fans believing that the Rowett Revolution is still going on, and I for one am one of that crowd who believes it is because the facts are there to prove it.

Heading into the game, out of the two sides, Rowett’s men are favourites and so they should be! Having only fallen to four defeats in all competitions this season, the work that the squad and Rowett are putting in is something which most Blues fans wouldn’t have been expecting at the start of the season.

But, here we are heading into the 14th league game of the season sat pretty in sixth and it could be higher!

Blues will be looking to register maximum points against their local rivals as they look for successive wins at St.Andrews, following a fantastic result against recently relegated side Queens Park Rangers on their last outing.

Rowett’s men managed to beat Wolves 2-1 at St.Andrews last season and will be hoping to hunt down the result, just like Demarai Gray did with the winner last year when he followed his own wayward ball on a resilient surge last season.

So far this season, Blues have picked up 24 points from a possible 39, whereas their counterparts have only managed to register 15.

Kenny Jackett’s side currently sit in 14th place with a minus two goal difference, which is something that Rowett and his team will be looking to add to when the two sides meet at the weekend.

On the road this season, Wolves have only managed to find the back of the net nine times in all competitions and they have also conceded 13 which gives them a minus four goal difference for the games they have played away from home.

For Blues however, their stats for the games they have played at home look more promising. So far this season, Blues have managed to find the back of the net 11 times at St.Andrews and they have only conceded eight in all competitions which gives them a plus goal difference of three.

This may not seem like a lot to an outsider but considering the amount of goals that we were scoring and conceding this time last year, it is a miraculous turn around.

Points wise, the visitors have only managed to reward themselves with seven points on their travels this campaign where as Rowett’s men have notched up ten points.

All the stats are currently pointing in favour of Blues and if I were to hedge a guess on who was going to win this one I would like to say that Birmingham City would.

For me, I am going to say that Blues will win 2-0 with Gray and maybe Clayton Donaldson bagging goals for the home side.

Blues fans, what do you think the score will be against Wolves when we play them on Saturday? Do you think we will get all three points? Let us know in the comment section down below!
