The big question that is looming over Birmingham City Football Club at the moment is when will Gianfranco Zola get his first win as Blues boss.

Well, looking at the upcoming fixtures you could ask another question, where is that win actually going to come from.

On Saturday afternoon Blues take on Norwich City at Carrow Road in what is arguably one of the toughest away grounds to go to and with the Canaries getting their season back on track this month, this game looks like it could be yet another tricky one for Zola to tackle.

However, Zola needs to be able to find the right balance to be able to beat Alex Neil’s side because fans are becoming increasingly worried that our season is starting to fizzle out and they would be right to think that as well.

The game against the Canaries is for me a must win game. The yellow and green army sit three points and two places above Blues and if they win it could potentially mean that our bid for a play-off place is well and truly over, despite there being just less than half of the season left to play.

The reason why I say it is a must win game is because our fixtures just seem to get more difficult as the weeks go by. The long Zola has to wait for a win, the more ridiculous the decision to sack Gary Rowett looks.

After Norwich on Saturday, Blues take on third placed Reading on deadline day, then welcome ninth placed Fulham to St.Andrews and following those two games they take on Sheffield Wednesday away from home in what could be the game that definitely kills our season off.

The next four games are season defining for Blues and points just have to be picked up.

It is all well and good saying that we are seeing Zola’s expansive style of play come through slowly but surely but to cut all the cow muck out of it, Blues need points and quickly.

Zola will be thinking that himself and we all know it has been tough for him taking everything on his shoulders with the board cowering behind their big investment board back in China but the man needs to get points on the board and quickly otherwise he won’t just have the fans on his back, he’ll have the media, the players and even the board asking for answers.
