Make that two victories this weekend.
Whilst it was Jude Bellingham’s goal that stole the headlines in the win over Charlton Athletic, he wasn’t the best performer on the day. At least according to WhoScored.com’s player ratings anyway.
Two of Birmingham’s backline have been selected into their team of the week, specifically Marc Roberts and Kristian Pedersen. When you keep a team who were second in the league going into the game at bay, I think it’s only fair that you get some sort of recognition for your efforts.
Needless to say, Blues fans were delighted to see their performances rewarded with mentions in the team of the week and they took to Twitter to praise the two defenders for their part in sealing three points.
Pedersen has already received praise from Blues fans for his performance whilst having five stitches in his head, so Blues fans decided to focus most of their praise on the other part of the defensive duo.

Although there were a number of Birmingham fans who were slightly surprised that there wasn’t a hat-trick of Birmingham defenders in the line-up as they thought Frenchman Maxime Colin deserved to get some recognition as well.
