The referee for Friday night’s game at home to Middlesbrough will be Roger East unless there is a late change to the schedule.

East hails from Wiltshire and is on the Premiership list of referees, the last time he took change of a Blues game was last season in February when he took charge of the Birmingham vs. Nottingham Forest game in the championship.

Blues lost the game 2-1 in front of a crowd of just over 19,000. There was one yellow card in the game, which went to Forest’s Luke Chambers.

West went on to officiate 45 matches for the season showing 124 yellow cards and six red. So far this season West has been in charge of 20 games in all competitions and has shown 58 yellow cards and two red.

Helping West on Friday will be Ian Hussin and Richard Kendall carrying the flags while the fourth official is Steven Rushton.
