Birmingham City have confirmed the appointment of Steve Cotterill as the club’s new manager on a two-and-a-half year contract.

The 53-year-old first came to the club as Harry Redknapp’s assistant manager, playing a vital role in helping the club survive.

His last manager role came with Bristol City, where he helped guide them to the League One title in 2014/15.

Cotterill will be assisted by current caretaker boss Lee Carsley and will take full control from Monday.
