Birmingham City forward Che Adams has today signed a new five-year contract with the club.

The new deal ties the 21-year-old down at St. Andrew’s until 2022.

Adams is perhaps the club’s most prized asset and there was well documented interest and rejected bids for the youngster in the summer transfer window.

After signing from Sheffield United last summer, Adams went on to make 42 appearances for Blues and scored seven goals in his first season at the club.

He netted the crucial goal on the final day of the season at Bristol City which ensured that Blues remained in the Championship.

The player is nearing full fitness after sustaining a hamstring injury early on in the campaign that has kept him out of the last few games.

Blues fans will be delighted with the news that one of their key players has been tied down on a longer deal, as I am sure Harry Redknapp will be as well.
