The October nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are:

Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday) – midfielder
His infectious energy and ability to pick out incisive passes were instrumental in Wednesday’s unbeaten month. The Scot was his side’s lynchpin, driving himself and others forward, as well as picking the positive option at every opportunity.

Andre Gray (Burnley) – striker
Five goals in October with neat finishes against Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town as he continued to justify his £9m fee. Allies a poacher`s instinct to a prodigious work rate, while his pace adds a different dimension to his new team.

Alan Judge (Brentford) – midfielder
The on-field inspiration behind Brentford’s October fest. Moved to the tip of the diamond, everything goes through him now. Three goals, including a looping volley against Rotherham United and a beautiful curler at Charlton Athletic, and four assists in the month.

Paul Robinson (Birmingham City) – central defender
His positioning and experience has been vital in solidifying the Birmingham defence, while the combative 36-year-old scored his first league goal for eight years with a diving header against Queens Park Rangers – then did it again three days later at Bolton Wanderers.

Winners will be announced on Friday November 6th 2015.
