Birmingham City player Lee Novak has said he is delighted with pre-season and wants to continue the great form into the season. Blues beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-1 at St Andrews yesterday.

Novak said the team wanted the win for a positive end to the season`s warm up. He described it as a good team performance. The versatile striker was pleased he helped Demarai Gray get a goal with their link up play and pleased to score a belting strike himself.

He continued by saying Blues will prove they are a good team by stepping up each time the quality of opposition increases. He agreed that the wins have done no harm but he was eager to say that the real test is at Middlesbrough next week.

Novak made 28 appearances for Birmingham last season, scoring 8 league goals and finishing at top scorer in all competitions with 10.
