Health and safety staff at Nottingham Forest will inspect the areas surrounding the City Ground tomorrow morning before making a decision on whether the game should go ahead with more snow fall predicted today and into the night.

While under soil heating keeps the playing surface in tact, the roads and streets around the stadium will be subject to an inspection.

Speaking to Vital Birmingham, a Forest representative said- ‘We will do our utmost to ensure the game against Birmingham goes ahead as planned but the safety of supporters and staff remains an important issue. We will inspect local areas and seek advice tomorrow morning’.

Crosscountry have advised supporters travelling by train to check services tomorrow morning.
