Not Going To Happen – 62% Of Birmingham Fans Polled Don’t See Us Signing England International

|

The Birmingham Mail raised the prospect of the club signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart after Sky Bet odds put us in the running for the England international.

His £120,000 a week salary would certainly have proven a major obstacle, and I really can’t see how we could afford to bring the former loanee back to St Andrew’s.

The majority of fans seem to agree with me about this, going by the results of the latest poll:

HITC are reporting that we are about to make a second bid of £3m for Ipswich keeper Bartosz Bialkowski, and if the move does go through, I think the Hart rumour will be quickly put to bed.

The Polish international currently looks to be the club’s primary summer target, despite the reported transfer embargo that has been imposed by the EFL.

It seems clear that we are expecting to have it lifted before the end of the transfer window, otherwise, I fail to see the logic of us making offers for players. What do you think? Is Biakowski a more realistic bet than Hart? Let me know in the comments.
