These Blues fans can’t quite make up their minds as to why Pep Clotet’s side managed to throw away three points.
It’s never one simple thing, and boy do the Blues fans know that.
Birmingham City lost 3-1 at home to Reading despite having taken the lead very early on with a goal from Scott Hogan. And having gone into the half time break a goal up, the Blues didn’t really muster anything as they conceded three unanswered goals to throw the game away. There was the controversial moment of a possible penalty being denied which could have brought the score level, but even that might not have guaranteed victory the way we played in the second half.
Will Clotet last all of 2020/21?
Yes
No
So when @Blues_HQ asked the question on Twitter who fans thought was to blame for the capitulation in the second half, there were a multitude of answers for the fans to choose from.
The officials let us down simple. But it’s no excuse for the way we lost the game we handed it to them after a decent first half #bcfc #kro

The disappointing second half… they must have a 15 minute nap and wake up half a sleep because every second half this season has been derisory.

CB’s at fault for all 3 goals.

What do you think the reason was?
Ask Pep what he said at half time – this guy hasn’t proved to me that he can motivate and inspire. Spends most of his time blaming the referees. His after match summaries are repetitive. He is the coach and must take responsibility for players performance.
