Eardley has been speaking to the Birmingham mail about his move to Birmingham and why he considered it the right one.
“I had a chat with the gaffer and after going through his plans about what he wanted to do this season, how he would like me to fit into the group and that, it made my mind up.’ It doesn’t come as a great surprise to see that Lee Clark again played a big part in simply talking the player into the Birmingham vision.
“And just knowing how big the club is, the huge fan base – it was a great opportunity, one I was never going to turn down.”
Eardley also went on to talk about the positive feeling everyone currently has about pre-season, they are apparently rather confident about the start of August.
