Birmingham City will be without the services of Medhi Nafti for at least two weeks after scans confirmed that he has a torn hamstring.

The midfielder had to go off during the first half of Blues win at Southampton on Saturday.

‘Scans have shown that Mehdi has got a grade one tear,’ manager Alex McLeish told the club’s official website.

‘It’s a very small tear and (head physio) Tim Williamson says clinically it’s not bad.

‘It’s high up his hamstring where the muscle meets the tendon and Tim thinks a couple of weeks, so that’s a blow for us.’
