‘Must be on the radar’: These rival fans are keen on swoop for Birmingham ace

|

Birmingham City have excelled in recent months after entering November’s international break enjoying a sequence of just one defeat in the past 13 matches.

Garry Monk has established a strong squad at the club, which has left others on the fringes and has led to an increased likelihood that departures will be on the cards when the window reopens in January.

One of the players likely looking for a move away is 33-year-old goalkeeper David Stockdale, who spent time on loan with Southend United in League One for a few weeks earlier this season but has not secured any first-team football with Birmingham.

With Lee Camp, Connal Trueman and Tomas Kuszczak to compete with, Stockdale’s chances over the course of the coming months look bleak and this has led a selection of some rival supporters to urge their club to consider a move.

Promotion-chasing Leeds United are likely to move for a new goalkeeper in January after Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman saw his spell at Elland Road end prematurely due to injury, which leaves only Bailey Peacock-Farrell as a senior option.

As a result, some fans want to make a move for Stockdale and we have gathered some of their comments below.
