‘Most dangerous head in the league’: Lots of Birmingham fans delighted with player’s efforts

Two home games, two goals.

Keep this up and he’ll bag 23, then we won’t need to worry about getting him a partner. In fact, why don’t we just play him at home? Let’s have two full teams, one for home games one for away games. That way everyone is rested and we can just pick off all the teams whose squads haven’t had time to recover.

Where was I? Oh yes, Lukas Jutkiewicz.

What a fabulous goal that was last night. Just goes to show that no matter how much you try to introduce some Spanish flair by signing a seemingly endless array of players from La Liga, there’s always room for a good old fashioned centre-forward header at the back post.

After a first half that didn’t really produce much in the way of chances barring one spectacular effort by Fran Villalba, the game burst into life when the 30-year-old forward rose to meet Wes Harding’s cross and head the home side into the lead.

Perhaps it was just relief after such a devastating weekend that things weren’t so bad after all, but Blues fans certainly couldn’t contain their excitement when the ball hit the back of the net.

Although I think these fans may be going a little bit too far, but I can’t really blame them.
