According to reports, Birmingham City are close to agreeing a deal with midfielder Brian Howard.
The 30 year old free agent is said to be willing to sign a deal with City that will tie him to the club until the end of the current season.
With Darren Ambrose leaving the club and injuries keeping out Jonathan Spector and Tom Adeyemi, there is need for a midfielder to be brought in.
Howard was released by Bristol City in the summer.
