Middlesbrough Men Down

Middlesbrough aren`t quite ready to face Birmingham City next Saturday. Head Coach Aitor Karanka is still searching for new players to add to his team.

Karanka has just signed Emilio Nsue to strengthen their attack and Kenneth Omeruo to add to their defence but Boro` are still short at right back, midfield and another striker.

The timing of any future signings this week also could come too late to have a great impact against Birmingham. Lee Clark had his business done very early on in order to have the whole of pre-season with the new squad.

Middlesbrough are to make moves this week and they could include for players like Aston Villa right back Matthew Lowton and Patrick Bamford from Chelsea.

It would seem Birmingham may be the more complete squad as they travel to the Riverside this coming Saturday. Whether this will give Lee Clark`s men the edge will only be revealed after kick off. Birmingham have a 100% record in pre-season so far as they prepare to host Inverness today.
