Middlesbrough Favorites for St Andrews’ Visit

With Birmingham’s home form slipping in the last few weeks they will have to step it up in order to trouble an inform Middlesbrough.

Last time out Birmingham lost out 1-0 to Millwall, who marginally pushed through a win in what was a vital win for the away team. The team weren’t at the races that day and important chances were missed that could of pinched something for the home team.

Middlesbrough are on the back of two straight away wins, beating Brentford and Blackpool respectively.

With that said, Blues remain a good defensive outlet, conceding 1 or less in 11 of their last 20 home games. Middlesbrough will need to play well in order to get a goal.

The problem will be being able to score a goal. Blues have scored 1 or less in 13 of their last 20 home games and the goals have certainly dried up in recent weeks.

A draw would be a good result for Blues, and all the odds will be in Middlesbrough’s favour. 1-1 would be a good result, getting a goal at home and picking up a point against a very good side.

Rowett has been talking about making changes due to the game pile up over the next 18 days, I don’t think those will come in just yet but that is a guess.

It would be a little harsh to drop Spector and Rowett probably is yet to lose confidence in Donaldson. Could well the same line up that took to the field against Millwall with the addition of Gray coming in, hopefully.
