Blues striker Cameron Jerome picked up his ninth goal of the season when he netted against Sunderland at the weekend, prompting a little praise from boss Alex McLeish.
Jerome had been going through a goalless run of nine games until he bagged a brace against Portsmouth, now the player has four in three games.
The manager said: “Cameron has really taken it to another level.
“His coverage of the pitch, his high-intensity runs, his distribution, his retention of the ball – he`s upped his level in the past three or four games in particular.”
