Blues boss Alex McLeish was far from happy after watching his side get robbed of at least one point by referee Martin Atkinson in the second city derby on Sunday.

Blues looked comfortable and good value for a point at the very least, maybe all three had it not been for inspired goalkeeping by Brad Friedel.

But with the clock ticking down, the homer referee pointed to the penalty spot after defender Roger Johnson fairly and squarely took the ball away from Gabriel Agbonlahor, something the ref would have seen had he not been 30 yards away at the time.

McLeish fumed: “I shook his hand at the end as I always do with the refs and said: ‘you called it wrong, the big decision and you didn`t get it right, I didn`t think you were up with play to make that call`. He clearly wasn`t up with play.”
