Massive Boost For Birmingham

It’s good news for Birmingham City in that Manchester United have agreed to extend the loan of youngster Jesse Lingard.

Sunday’s game at Leeds United would have been Lingard’s final appearance for Blues which would have been something of a downer for the club after he had made such an impact in just a month.

But after talks between the two clubs it was agreed that the forward could remain at St Andrews up until December 14.

The news is a big boost to Lee Clark, who worked hard at getting the player in the first place.

Clark told the Birmingham Mail: ‘There were a lot of clubs in for him before we initially got him, but the impact he has made since he has been here meant that even more clubs became keen.

“But we thank Manchester United and David Moyes for their help on this one and I think they can see that we are hopefully developing the player the right way for them.’
