Marlon King Should Be Gone Soon

It does look like Marlon King will be leaving Birmingham City very shortly.

Manager Lee Clark says that he has to cut the wage bill and King has been given permission to sort out a possible deal with other clubs.

There have been reports that there are a number of clubs in England who are interested in the striker and there have also been enquiries from Europe.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Clark said: ‘Marlon’s situation hasn’t changed. He has been given a free, which was confirmed to him two or three days after the season had finished.

‘He has been given time off to pursue other opportunities. He is talking to them with his agent, with my permission, and has been over the last couple of weeks, we expect a conclusion in the coming days.’
