Mark Duffy joins Burton Albion

Birmingham City have confirmed via their official website that winger Mark Duffy has signed for Burton Albion on a six month loan deal.

Since joining the Blues, Duffy has found opportunities very scarce which has led to his second loan spell since he arrived at St.Andrews. Last season Duffy joined Chesterfield for a short spell which did not work out as planned and led to a recall.

The 29 year old now joins Rowett’s former side, currently managed by ex-Dutch international and Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The Brewers won promotion into League One last season following a fantastic season which current Blues boss Rowett started.

Duffy is now entering the final year of his two year contract and the loan deal signals the fact that the Blues staff believe the winger still has something to offer but in the second half of the season.
