Many Birmingham Supporters Are Calling On Monk To Bid For 21-Year-Old Welshman

|

Considering the lack of movement in terms of signing midfielders this summer, I thought I would add a name into the mix who could add more goals and assists to our team.

Harry Wilson’s seven goals and four assists in just 14 matches for Hull last campaign was seriously impressive, and with our lack of options out wide beyond Maghoma, Jota and Solomon-Otabor, the Welsh international looks like an interesting potential signing.

However, it seems that despite 12 Championship clubs being interested in signing the 21-year-old on loan this summer, we are not one of them. Far be it for me to question Garry Monk, I decided to ask supporters whether our manager should perhaps consider a bid for the winger.

As you can see in the poll results, a significant portion of fans think we should be one of the teams pursuing Wilson:

I know it’s very easy to play Football Manager when you are sitting at home, but for me, there is a very low risk and very high reward for bringing in Wilson on loan. He won’t be on high wages, he’s already proven in the Championship after last season’s exploits for the Tigers, and could add much-needed goals from midfield. Is Monk right not to go after him? Let me know in the comments.
