15 year old Josh Martin is being watched by Manchester United according to The Star and as featured on telegraph.co.uk

The youngster was give a squad number by, now sacked, Lee Clark and the ex-Blues boss testified that he would have a big future ahead of him.

It would now seem that he has caught the eye of a bigger club and they are going to weigh up the option of signing him, even before he makes an appearance for Birmingham.

Martin is highly thought of at Birmingham and was tipped to become their youngest ever player, ahead of the man himself, Trevor Francis.

United usually flex their muscle when ever they feel like it and it would remain to be seen just whether they could tempt Martin away from the club.

I would consider this a tremendous waste of talent should Martin move to United at such a young age. Whilst I accept their academy is world class, true first team football has to be the best option for young players.

This is something much easier to achieve at Birmingham City, as previous youngsters have proven and as Demarai Gray is proving now.

With the talent Birmingham are producing just recently it is no wonder such big clubs are coming knocking for the young guns. Lets hope that they firstly, want to stay and secondly, the owners realise that cashing in will only devalue the club in the long run.
