Lee Clark has spoken to the Official Site about his teams win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle yesterday. Birmingham wrapped up a successful pre-season campaign with a 3-1 win over the Scottish side.

Inverness deployed a short passing game similar to Middlesbrough and Clark had praise for some of the individual performances in the game. He also said the win would further aid the players confidence going into the season.

“I`ve been delighted by that. All the players in the squad have been terrific, so I`ve got some difficult decisions to make for next week.”

Clark also praised Demarai Gray, the manager said he is going past people easily right now and its exciting times for the youngster. He said he can also provide goals, as can youngster Reece Brown and the club are currently trying to get more out of them in terms of scoring.

It was also revealed in the interview that Donaldson didn`t start due to illness but he should be okay for the trip to Middlesbrough.

Finally Clark branded the conceded goal ‘disappointing` but was also pleased it happened today and not in a weeks time. The team will now focus on sorting that out.

Birmingham take on Middlesbrough August 9.
