‘Magnifique’, ‘the almighty’: Lots of Birmingham fans express delight at yet another new deal

|

That’s it guys, just keep the new contracts coming.

They’re not as exciting as new transfers, but it gives the club a bit of stability and the fans one less thing to worry about.

City yesterday announced that French defender Maxime Colin had signed a new deal with the club, keeping him in a blue shirt until 2023. The 27-year-old was signed by Harry Redknapp back in 2017 from Brentford in a £3m deal and has been a near ever-present in the side and has managed to make 80 appearances for the Blues.

Whilst it wasn’t the news that Birmingham fans were hoping for, still waiting for George Puscas to put pen to paper, it’s still come as a good surprise for Blues supporters.

They took to Twitter to express their joy that yet another part of the club furniture (even if it’s a relatively new piece having only been here two years), is set to stay for the foreseeable future.

If they’re this excited about a defender signing, you wonder how mad they’ll go if and when Puscas does eventually get signed. We’re not allowed to post swear words on this site, and I don’t think I’ll have a lot of ‘safe material’ to use.
