‘Made My Day’ – Ex Blues Ace Reacts To Birmingham’s Final Day Heroics

|

Our former striker Mikael Forssell was delighted to see the club secure survival on the final day of the season.

The 3-1 win over Fulham was far less nerve-racking than last campaign, and the Finn took to Twitter to express his happiness that Garry Monk’s side will remain a Championship club:

Verdict:

It’s good to see Mikael is still following the club so closely. The match itself was surprising in how it unfolded. We took advantage of our opponent’s weaknesses, and unlike against QPR where the manager said we played with “fear,” the player’s performed with a sense of freedom.

The second half was a bit tougher to watch as Fulham came back into the match. They pinned us back at times but Che Adams’ great solo effort a minute from time was well deserved in my opinion. We can hopefully look forward to a much more settled season under Monk next campaign.
