Oh the good old days, and with football now over once again for a while, it’s time to go down memory lane again.
And why not start off with a bang. It was on this day in 1999 that Blues brought in Stan Lazaridis for a fee of around £1.5m.
Given the fees that are usually banded around when it comes to the club these days, I think that pretty much places him in the ‘bargain’ category.
The Australian made 140 appearances during his time at St Andrew’s, and even though he didn’t manage to find the back of the net too many times in his time here, he still managed to go down as something of a cult-hero in Small Heath, as part of the team that helped seal promotion to the Premier League back in 2002.
How much will Blues spend in this window?
More than £15m
£15m or less
Something you can tell judging by the responses to @BirminghamFanTV’s tweet on the matter.
Definitely in my top 10 @BCFC players of all time. Fantastic player.

Brilliant servant to the club and a really nice bloke. Wish we had a few of his like in the team now
